Bruce Knee works as Probation and Parole Officer with the State of New Mexico Department of Corrections. He has a Master’s Degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Criminal Justice from American Military University in Charles Town, West Virginia, and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Transportation from the Community College of The Air Force in Maxwell, Alabama.
Bruce Knee has a Certificate in Watershed Management from the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) and completed several FEMA courses, including the ICS course.
Bruce is a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service as an Air Transportation Craftsmen. He has earned AF Meritorious Service Medals, Commendation Medals, Joint Service Commendations Medal, and Global War on Terrorism an Expeditionary Medals.
Bruce served in the Gulf War, Balkan, and in Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom and deployed for Hurricanes like Hugo and Katrina.
Bruce instructed numerous courses in emergency management, safety, security, force protection, self aid and first aid, transportation, hazardous materials certification, CBRNE and explosives handling. He was certified as a Hazardous Materials Packaging and Multi-modal Transportation Technician, Load Planner for Air, Surface cargo movement and inspector for Air Shipments. Bruce has load planned and loaded cargo aircraft (C-130, C-5, C-141, B-747 and foreign military AN -124, C-160) while serving in the Air Force.
Bruce is also a Weather Spotter for the National Weather Service in El Paso, Texas where he charts and reports of unusual weather situations. Bruce is married and his wife has a paralegal certificate. They have one son who lives in Phoenix, Arizona and is married. Bruce and his family are originally from Boise, Idaho.
