Biography - Kent L Studnicka


My career has involved fire, paramedic level EMS, emergency management, education, operations and planning. My career began as a Firefighter/Driver/Paramedic with a fire service in the Midwest for 8 years. I then transitioned to becoming a Exercise Training Officer for a state level emergency management agency while completing my Bachelors degree. Upon completion of my undergraduate studies I returned to the fire service to the rank of Battalion Chief/ Emergency Planner. I now am currently a Department Head /Professor of a Bachelors of Technology program.

As for my educational pursuits with an associate’s of Associates of Applied Science degree in Fire Protection from Southeast Community College and Associates of Applied Science Degree as a Paramedic. I then completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Bellevue University, a Master’s Degree in Homeland Security and Security Management again from Bellevue University, and am almost completed my PhD Degree from Capella University in Emergency Management. Awards include Admiralship with the Nebraska Navy, Epsilon Pi Phi Honors society as past chapter Vice President, cum laude, and National Deans List.

My goal was and is still to have a complete working knowledge of public safety and emergency response applications through collaboration with local state, national and international organizations in emergency response matters.
