Biography - Robert M Prior

Dr. Robert Prior has taught periodically as an adjunct instructor and has 20 years of experience working in professional and collegiate sports.

Dr. Prior’s areas of expertise include Athletic Administration, Sports Management, Sports Media Relations, Sports Marketing and Athletic Facilities Management. He has also done extensive research in Organizational and Non-Profit Leadership.

Dr. Prior has served as Associate Director of Athletics Communications and External Operations at Nova Southeastern University, Director of Information and New Media for Major League Soccer, Director of Media Relations for the Boston Celtics and as Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator for the Atlanta Braves.

Dr. Prior earned his Doctor of Education Degree in Organizational Leadership, concentrating in Not-for-Profit Leadership, from Nova Southeastern University (FL). He holds a Master of Science Degree in Sports Management from Saint Thomas University (FL) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Fitness and Leisure Studies from Salem State College (MA).

He is the Department Chair and Associate Professor for Sport Management at Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts.
