I have dual Bachelor's degrees in Comparative Literature and Mandarin Chinese from Brigham Young University and received a M.A. in Comparative Literature from Washington University in St. Louis.
I work primarily in education and academia, though I enjoy work that gets me outside the classroom environment as well. Before teaching at APU/AMU I taught writing courses for Washington University. My family and I also lived abroad in Shanghai, China for a year where I continued my Chinese studies and worked as a corporate trainer for several multinational companies.
I currently live in St. Louis, MO with mywife, son, and new-born daughter. I enjoy reading, writing, camping, hiking, and computer games and various board games/ tabletop games.
