Biography - Karin L Torres

I am currently working on my PhD in Business Administration with a concentration in Advanced Accounting and Financial Management from Northcentral University. I have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Baker College (Online) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Finance from University of Central Florida. My experience has been in various roles in the banking industry for over 23 years, such as Business Banking, Merchant Services, Banking Center Management and Premier Banking. During my banking career, I worked primarily with businesses and professional practices in developing business plans, preparing and analyzing financial statements for credit review, and establishing pricing for consumer and business loans and credit card processing services. I also work in a small accounting practice for the last 10 years where we consult with clients on accounting, fraud and tax issues. I am a member of the Institute of Management of Accountants and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
