Amy lives in Northern Virginia and has been teaching college level English and humanities courses since 2001 (online since 2003).
Amy holds a Master’s in Humanities from Tiffin University (emphasis on comparative literature and philosophy) and a graduate diploma in professional writing and editing from The George Washington University. Her B.A. is in International Studies Political Science with a minor in literature. Amy also completed about 20 graduate credits in secondary education curriculum and instruction methodology.
Amy writes and edits on a freelance basis for various technology companies, real estate and lending companies, non-profit institutions, political candidates, publishers, and for newsletters and magazines.
Amy enjoys traveling whenever possible. She has lived in Germany as an undergraduate student and most recently completed two study trips world-wide. Amy loves teaching both online and in the classroom. Her hobbies include reading, writing, walking the dogs, and taking her kids to all their sports endeavors (diving, swimming, lacrosse, soccer, etc). Amy sits on the board of her community Swim and Tennis Club. Amy volunteers in the community with various political candidates as well as with church-related outreaches and her children’s sports leagues and schools (including diving judge for the NVSL and certified food handler for the team concession stands).
