Joy S Patton

Joy Patton was born in Bangkok, Thailand and grew up in Tehran, Iran and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She studied history and English at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and completed her masters degree in international relations at Troy State University in Troy, Alabama. Major Patton has over 13 years of experience as a military intelligence officer. She has also worked as an Inspector General intelligence team leader. Major Patton has traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and Asia and has done volunteer work with orphanages in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand. She is is completing her doctoral work in international political development at the University of Southern Mississippi and she is a member of the American Political Science Association (APSA).
