Biography - Merritt Kearns


Merritt  Kearns

Merritt Kearns is a faculty member in the School of Public Service and Health. He is an instructor in the Emergency and Disaster Managment and Fire Science Management programs at APUS. Merritt's fire service experience includes the Savannah Fire Department and the Statesboro Fire Department, where he currently serves as a Captain. He previously served as Director of the Fire Science Program at Ogeechee Technical College. Merritt holds a Master's degree from Georgia Southern University and a Bachelor's from Rutgers University. He lives with his wife, Dr. Tori Kearns, and three daughters in Statesboro, Georgia.
