Professor Browning earned a Master of Science Degree in Geo-Environmental Studies from Shippensburg University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Scranton.
Professor Browning is currently the training coordinator for ICU-A Total Safety Company in Texas. Her work involves training coworkers on a variety of topics from personal sampling to HAZWOPER. She also trains client at chemical plants, oil refineries, and off shore.
Prior to her work in Texas, she was a partner with BW Enviro Tech LLP. BW Enviro Tech was a full service environmental consulting and training firm providing competent, reliable, client focused services. Her work involved environmental site assessment services, hazardous waste investigations and remediation, permitting, land use planning, and environmental, workplace, and hazardous response training for clients.
Prior to this, Ms. Browning worked for a Hazardous Material Environmental Firm in Mechanicsburg, PA. She supervised the training program and the toxicologists. Her duties included the management of curricula development, the management and growth of training and educational operations and the supervision of toxicological and consulting projects. Ms. Browning is accredited by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry under the US EPA Asbestos/Lead Based Paint Model Accreditation programs.
Professor Browning has presented regionally on various environmental concerns and has researched environmental impact relative to US Military post stockpile issues. She has also studied internationally in the field.
Prior to her work in environmental consulting, Ms. Browning was a High School instructor. She is certified by the State of Pennsylvania to teach Chemistry, Earth Space Science, Environmental Science, and General Science. As a teacher, she has taught General Science, Earth Space Science, Chemistry and Advanced Placement Chemistry.
Professor Browning is a single mother of two college students. Her oldest son is pursuing a BS in Accounting at Penn State and her youngest is pursuing a BS in Electronics Engineering at ECPI in Virginia Beach. She enjoys spending time at the beach with her youngest son surfing and fishing and hunting with her oldest son.
