Biography - James A Hudnell


James is on active duty in the Air Force serving in Europe. His assignments included southwest Oklahoma radar approach control airspace during the Sept 11, 2001 attacks, formal instructor of new officers from the United States and NATO for basic FAA air traffic procedures, security plans development and leadership. James also assisted with the planning and execution of several airspace, air traffic control, and airfield security plans integrating military with civil agencies both foreign and domestic; of note is bed down liaison to federal agencies for Air Force One, heads of state and national security assets. He served in both Iraq and Pakistan. Additionally James worked with the University Police Department as a security officer and emergency dispatcher, assisted the Hattiesburg City Police Department, completed orientation programs with the Lauderdale County Sherriff’s Office and was an intern with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. James was also an intern with a state police agency as patrol officer. James is from Mississippi, and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from USM and a minor in Aerospace Studies. In addition, he attended Army ROTC and finalized in Air Force ROTC to receive his commission. James was a charter member and Vice President of USM’s Lambda Alpha Epsilon, American Criminal Justice Society chapter. He completed his masters in Criminal Justice via American Military University (AMU).
