Biography - Thomas R Leamy

Greetings all. I was a public school teacher for 10 years before deciding to pursue a career in higher education. I currently work full time for APUS teaching a variety of courses and enjoy this environment very much. it is so great to be able to connect with so many students around the world. Everyone's different perspective makes interaction on discussion boards and papers very exciting and lively.

I was in the U.S. army for ten years and still miss it. My friends are finally home from their active duty tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and we are all glad they made it back. I am married with two beautiful young daughters who keep me busy with all their activities but I would not have it any other way!

I spend my free time working out and trying to stay in shape, traveling, and just being with my family. I cook for them virtually every day and love doing it. Trying new recipes and watching the food channel occurs every day in my house along with watching Gordon Ramsay and the next food network star show.
