Biography - Keith D Carlson

Keith Carlson teaches American Government I (POLS210) and Foundations of Online Learning (COLL100) for APUS. Besides teaching for APUS, Mr. Carlson also teaches for several community colleges in the Houston, Texas area where he resides with his wife and their dogs.

Keith earned his MA in political science from the University of Alabama in 1996. He also attended the Summer Scholars program at the Graduate School of Political Management in 1995. Keith earned his BA in political science with a minor in history from the University of South Alabama in 1994.

Prior to beginning his teaching career Keith worked in the political campaign field working on statewide, congressional and local races throughout the nation.

In his spare time Keith enjoys reading, working in his yard and watching his favorite football team, The Pittsburgh Steelers.
