
Hyppolite Pierre is a Political Science Adjunct Faculty at American Public University, and a tested and experienced French and Haitian languages interpreter and translator. He also runs the Pierre Consultancy Group, a Haiti consulting group that you can find online at http://www.pcgroup.biz.
Mr. Pierre is a Haiti author and writer. He authored his first comprehensive book about Haiti in 2006, which was published by the University Press of America, entitled Haiti, Rising Flames from Burning Ashes. Because of his expert knowledge of that Caribbean nation, he has given lectures over the years about the prospect for a prosperous and democratic Haiti at prestigious academic venues such as the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC; the University of Virginia; the University of Texas, Austin; the University at Albany in Albany, NY; the United States Institute for Peace in Washington, DC; and the Salzburg Seminar in Salzburg, Austria. He was until 2010, Haiti Country Specialist for Amnesty International USA.
Mr. Pierre is also the founder and former Executive Director of the Institute for Research in Socioeconomic and Public Policy (IRSP), a Haitian Research Institute.
