Joe Rice serves as an adjunct professor in the Sports Management program teaching courses in coaching leadership, strategies and methodology.
He received his BS in Accounting from the University of Delaware and worked for Arthur Andersen & Co for two years before changing professions and becoming a teacher. He earned his Masters Ed with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction and taught for 20 years at one of the prep schools in Baltimore. He was also a coach for those 20 years, coaching three sports a year for the school. Joe became the technology coordinator and worked with teachers in utilizing technology in their teaching.
It was during this time that Joe created Kudda, an online coaching resource to help coaches in the youth, travel and HS levels, and subsequently left the teaching profession. He started working for APUS in 2009 as the Director of Special Projects and is involved in various marketing and partnership projects.
He has been married for 22 years and has three children. He's an avid golfer and resides in Baltimore.
