Mr. Ken Emberton received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Kentucky and his Master of Arts in Security Management from Webster University. He currently serves as a Force Structure Analyst for the US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) G3/5/7 in the Force Structure Branch of the Force Management Division, as a Department of the Army federal civil servant on Fort Bragg, NC. In this position, he provides detailed analysis and assistance to tactical and operational Army units on force structure change and management. His key function is to provide the FORSCOM leadership position in his area of expertise to the Department of Army staff. Prior to this position, Mr. Emberton served in a variety of command and leadership positions in the US Army from lieutenant to lieutenant colonel. Those capacities have included the areas of telecommunications, civil affairs, equal opportunity, instructor, and small group leader. Mr. Emberton retired in 2008 after 28 years of service in the US Army Reserves with almost 15 years on active duty and over 12 of those years on airborne status. He is a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College, Army Force Management Course, and the Department of Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute. His tours of duty included two one year tours in Korea, one three year tour in Hawaii, and he is a combat veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm as a member of the XVIII Airborne Corps.
