Channa Threat received a Master of Science degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University’s Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution in 2003. She also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of California, Davis. Ms. Threat is a Systems Analyst for Stanley Associates, Inc. working for the US Marine Corps on mission planning and development. She is also a consultant in the area of Conflict Resolution and Analysis. Previously, Ms. Threat served as the Program Manager at the Center for Conflict Management at Kennesaw State University. While there, she lead projects delivering client-based program evaluation, organizational needs assessments, and developed and implemented training around conflict and post-conflict needs.
Ms. Threat has worked in the areas of conflict prevention and conflict resolution, and has extensive international experience. Most recently, she has been working on a project in Iraq looking at Entrepreneurship in conflict/post-conflict environments. She also developed and implemented a year-long conflict resolution practice project in the Crimea, Ukraine. As well as conducted conflict resolution training programs in Chiapas, Mexico and Barbados.
Previously, she worked as a researcher for the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars project on Non-Traditional Threats to development, global security and stability. She also served as Program Manager and Policy Analyst for Stanley Associates, Inc. at the U.S. Department of State.
