My name is Donna Hardy. Please feel free to call me Donna.
I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in 1992 from Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN. I received my Masters Degree in Education from Capella University, Minneapolis, MN in 2004. Two post graduate certificates from Strayer University followed in 2006. One of my post graduate certificates is in Online Teaching.
My passion is online instruction, specifically as it applies to orientation for learners.
My home is in Navarre, FL which is a small beach community on the panhandle.
I teach business courses in the Bachelors program at Indiana Wesleyan University and education administration courses in the Masters program at Grand Canyon University.
I have published one book, along with two of my colleagues, The In's and Out's of Online Instruction, Transitioning from Brick and Mortar to Online Teaching which is a great resource for the teacher who is considering a transition to online instruction. The next one will be information for students as they transition to online instruction.
My family consists of my husband and three grown children. Our daughter Jolene works as an office manager for the Veterans Administration in Tucson, Arizona. Our oldest son James, is a Polysomanographic (sleep) Technologist in St Paul, MN. He is the proud father of two daughters. Our youngest son is a Master Sergeant in the USAF, stationed at Cannon AFB, NM. He is married and the proud father of one son. He has less than two years to retirement unless he reenlists.
Reading is my first choice to relax! My hobby is fusing class and making jewelry. We do like to travel and my laptop makes it possible. To quote the Air Force 1st Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field, FL motto, 'Any Place Any Time'.
