Biography - Janalyn M Kehm


Jan Kehm currently serves as an adjunct faculty member since 2008. Her responsibilities as a member of the Information Technology department is to serve APUS students in learning software application programs and tools for personal and business productivity. She has a varied background in computer and information services with such companies as SAIC, the Department of Defense, Northrop Grumman and the University of South Carolina. Her work experience consists of both UNIX and PC computing platforms.

Mrs. Kehm earned a Masters of Arts in Computer Resource Management from Webster University, St. Louis, MO. She is a graduate in Journalism from the University of South Carolina’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications, Columbia, SC. She is a certified Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) and Microsoft Certified Applications Specialist (MCAS) in the Microsoft Office 2007 software suite.

She has a track record of success in community college leadership with more than 10 years of experience as professor, mentor and course development (online and face to face). She is a recent graduate and continuing member of the Leadership Spartanburg Task Force which proposes the 40/30 Challenge, a commitment to seeing that 40 percent of the Spartanburg County population (aged 25 and above), hold bachelor’s degrees by the year 2030. Mrs. Kehm is an active member of her neighborhood Junior Achievement and Girl Scout organization.
