Mark D Bowles

Dr. Bowles earned his Ph.D. in the History of Technology from Case Western Reserve University (1999) and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix (2005). He also has a Master's in History and a BA in Psychology from the University of Akron.

He has written over 10 books, and his most recent for NASA won the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics' 2010 History Manuscript Award, which is presented each year for the best historical manuscript dealing with the impact of aeronautics and astronautics on society.

Dr. Bowles is the founder of Belle History (www.bellehistory.com) which is a public history company. He is currently writing a textbook on US History from 1865 to the present.

He has been married to his wife for 21 years and they are raising a 11 year old daughter, and 2year old twin girls in northeast Ohio.
