Mr. Patterson received his Bachelor of Science in Management from Upper Iowa University and his Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He is currently serving in the United States Army and has honorably done so for 22 years. He is a graduate of Class 58 of the prestigious United States Army Sergeants Major Academy at Fort Bliss, TX.
Mr. Patterson has served in a variety of units and positions around the globe to include the Office of the Chief of Chaplains, Enlisted Policy, Pentagon; Theater Chaplain Sergeant Major, United States Forces-Afghanistan; Corps Chaplain Sergeant Major, V Corps and Operations Sergeant Major, United States Army Europe Command Chaplains Office, Heidelberg, Germany; Command Chaplains Office, Joint Forces Headquarters National Capital Region and Military District of Washington on Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, DC; United States Forces Korea, Command Chaplain NCOIC, Seoul, Korea; 2nd Infantry Division, Division Chaplain NCOIC, Uijongbu, Korea; Southern European Task Force, Command Chaplain NCOIC, Vicenza, Italy; United States Army Chaplain Center and School, Instructor and Writer as well as a Course Developer, Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina; National Support Element, Command Chaplain NCOIC, Taszar, Hungary; most recently as the Senior Chaplain Assistant in Afghanistan with United States Forces Afghanistan in Kabul; and many other positions. He is currently serving as the 56M Enlisted Proponent Sergeant Major at the United States Army Chaplain Center and School, Fort Jackson, SC.
One of his most memorable and meaningful career achievements above selection for promotion to Sergeant Major and graduation from Fort Campbell’s Air Assault School was selection into the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club in which he has served as president of club chapters in the 2nd Infantry Division and Area II, Seoul, Korea.
Mr. Patterson is certified by the Reina Trust Building Institute in their patented Building Trust in the Workplace, Healing from Betrayal system.
Mr. Patterson plans to continue teaching online courses after retirement and certify in Executive Coaching to start his own executive coaching firm. He has three children, Kayla, Uriah, and Jacob.
