
Lynn Elizabeth Marlowe grew up in San Antonio, Texas and New York City. She received her B.A. at New York University, majoring in both International Politics and Classics. She then attended Texas State University where she earned a post B.A. with honors in History Education and teaching certificates in History and English. She earned her Master’s degree in History from New York University in 1995, concentrating in Modern American and Modern European History. Her Master’s thesis is on the writings of late 19th century NYU students and is part of the NYU archives.
Mrs. Marlowe taught onsite at several colleges and universities in the Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles City College and Pasadena City College, specializing in Modern U.S. History and Early World History. She has published several study guides for standardized history exams such as the GRE History Subject Test, SAT History Subject Test, MSAT History section, and the CLEP History Exam, for the Research and Education Association. Her historical interests are civil rights, the immigrant experience and other topics in American social history, as well as world religions.
Lynn Elizabeth Marlowe is the proud daughter of a former United States Navy Officer who served his country during the Korean War. She currently lives in Florida with her husband and two children. She is a full time faculty member at APUS.
