Vincent R Lindenmeyer

A career US Army officer with 20 years of service, Vince Lindenmeyer is a graduate of the United States Military Academy with a BS in Systems Engineering (1991). Throughout his career, serving in various command and staff positions from platoon to combatant command, Vince earned a MS in Management from the University of Central Texas (1995) and a MEd in College Development and Counseling from Long Island University, CW Post (2001). He is currently enrolled in the US Army War College and will complete a Masters of Strategic Studies degree in 2011.

Currently an All-But-Dissertation (ABD) doctoral candidate in Education (PhD) with emphasis in Training, Development and Leadership (TDL) from Northcentral University, Vince's research interests include leadership development, talent management, communities of practice, reflective practice and experiential learning domains. In addition to his academic credentials, Vince is a nationally certified counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors, as well as, a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).

As an adjunct faculty member with UMUC-Europe in Egypt from 2004-5, Vince taught numerous pre-Algebra, college Algebra, counseling and parenting seminars while serving as the Battalion Executive Officer in 1st Support Battalion, Multinational Force Observers, Sinai, Egypt.

Vince is the son of Carl Lindenmeyer, MSIE, Professor Emeritus in Industrial Engineering at Clemson University and the grandson of Ray Lindenmeyer, EdD Professor Emeritus in Engineering Technology at Northwestern University. He would like to dedicate his teaching legacy to their memories.

Vince is a Lieutenant Colonel with the Center for Strategic Leadership at the US Army War College. His hobbies include family and volleyball. His wife, Cynthia, is the University Chaplain for APUS and an adjunct faculty instructor in the Humanities department. They have two children.
