Patricia J Campbell

Patricia J. Campbell received her B.A. from Illinois State University in Political Science and History and her Ph.D. in International Studies from the University of Denver. After receiving her Ph.D., she served as a Professor of Political Science at the University of West Georgia, where she held a variety of positions including Director of Global Studies and interim Department Chair. Additionally she is an adjunct professor of International Law at the University of West Florida. Dr. Campbell has numerous publications in academic journals including Journal of Political Science Education, International Feminist Journal of Politics, African Studies Quarterly, Politics & Policy, and Africa Today. Her co-authored textbook on Global Studies is due out in March of 2010. Conducting field work has provided her with the opportunity to spend a good deal of time in various African countries. She has been active serving on various committees of the American Political Science Association (APSA), most recently she was elected to the APSA's Committee on Teaching and Learning. When not traveling for research, she prefers to travel via a bike or on foot with a backpack.
