Biography - Melinda M Tyler


Melinda Tyler attended Montana State University where she earned her BS in Health and Human Development. From there, she enrolled in a doctoral program at Penn State University in Biobehavioral Health Psychology. Melinda has been working in the online learning environment for over seven years and has won awards for creative course development and online teaching. She wrote the text "Introduction to Psychology," published in 2006 and she contributed a chapter on drug prevention to the book, “Adolescence in America." In addition, she has co-authored several scholarly articles on harm prevention and data quality. Currently bicoastal, she divides her time equally between San Francisco and Boston and enjoys traveling and playing blues and jazz on the guitar.
