Allan J Conkey

Dr. Conkey received a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement from Western New England College, and received his first master’s degree from Anna Maria College in Criminal Justice. He earned his second masters degree from the University of Colorado in Counseling, and a PhD in Criminal Justice from Capella University. Dr. Conkey is a retired military officer with over 25 years of experience in the law enforcement and security realm. He is a trained hostage negotiator, counter-terrorism expert, counselor, and a three time Military Chief of Police. A decorated veteran of both the first and second Gulf Wars, for two years Dr. Conkey commanded plain-clothed security details for dozens of world leaders and heads of state, to include President Bush and Afghanistan President Hamid Kharzai. He is a published author on a variety of criminal justice topics, ranging from capital punishment to terrorism. Dr. Conkey is a member of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and the National Association of Chiefs of Police.
