Biography - John A Coy


John A. Coy received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a master’s, with honors and distinction, in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Professor Coy recently completed Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS, and is ABD complete with his Ph.D. program at Northcentral University. Additionally, John is the CEO for a consulting and education LLC, which specializes in process improvement and education in Latin American countries. Moreover, Professor Coy is the primary course owner/author for MGMT312 (Leadership & Motivation) and MGMT410 (Strategic Management), is a thesis reviewer, and has developed over 12 classes for APUS. In 2010, Professor Coy was selected as the Management Department Instructor of the Year. Finally, as a career Air Force aviator, he currently serves as the Global Force Management Branch Chief for USTRANSCOM J3, and has received the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration of the Year Award for the Joint Precision Air Drop program. John is married, has four daughters and one son, and enjoys traveling, hiking, and mountain biking.
