
Juan J. Ortiz Jr. received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Resources/Management from Park University and a Master’s in Management from Webster University, he also was awarded a graduate certification as an Instructional System Specialist from Touro University and is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Education (EdD) with a specialization in Higher Education and Adult Learning program at Walden University. A Retired Command Sergeant Major with a career spanning more than 26 years of service in the US Army and veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom (2 tours). He has held every enlisted position from private to Command Sergeant Major in the Army Aviation field. His awards and decorations range from an Army Achievement Medal to the Bronze Star and Legion of Merit. Mr. Ortiz has been in leadership positions ranging from Squad Leader in charge of nine soldiers to Command Sergeant Major in charge of 800 soldiers. In Addition Mr. Ortiz is an Associate Professor of Military Science at the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Ft. Bliss, Texas. In addition he is an Assistant Academic Director/Sr. Adjunct instructor with Park University teaching management and human resource courses in both face to face and online method of instruction. Mr. Ortiz is fascinated with how computers operate; hence he enjoys building computers and adding any new gadget that the computer industry invents.
