Biography - Benjamin Dille


Benjamin Dille received a BA in history and international relations from Macalester College, a JD from the University of Minnesota, and an LL.M. from Exeter University in the UK. He has completed coursework at the London School of Economics, where he is writing his PhD dissertation on post-Sandinista land law in Nicaragua. After working as attorney and judicial law clerk, since 1991 Dille has been a Foreign Service Officer (diplomat) with the Department of State. He has served in Washington, Caracas, Mexico City, Shanghai, Managua, Minsk, and Iraq. He currently runs administrative operations at the U.S. Embassy in Prague. At State, he has earned five Meritorious Honor Awards, the Secretary’s Distinguished Service Award, and the Department's Arnold Raphel Award for his mentoring.
