Alana P Schneider

Alana Phillips Schneider received a Bachelor's degree in English Writing Arts/Journalism from the State University of New York at Oswego and a Master's in Adult Education with a concentration in computer-aided distance learning from Elmira College.

Ms. Schneider currently conducts seminars and workshops in numerous fields such as web design, professional development, effective written and interpersonal communication, copywriting, and desktop publishing. She also offers web, copywriting, and desktop publishing consulting and design services to her clients.

Previous to creating her own consulting firm, PRO-TRAIN, Ms. Schneider was the Program Coordinator for the Office Technology Department at a college in upstate New York where, in addition to her departmental responsibilities, she also created and conducted classes in the above areas as well as technology and software.

She is a national free-lance writer and former print journalist for two upstate New York newspapers. In that capacity she also, when time permits, conducts Continuing Education classes in the art and business of free-lance writing. Ms. Schneider's work has appeared in international, national, and regional publications.

When she is not writing or "on the road again" teaching her national and international seminars, Alana tries to spend her free time indulging in her favorite pastimes - reading, traveling, dog training and competition, hand quilting, and trap shooting with her husband.
