Biography - Fiona C McEvoy

Dr. Fiona McEvoy is excited to be a part of the APUS team. She has an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, an M.S. in School Counseling and Psychology, and a doctorate in Teacher Leadership. She has worked in public schools since 1998 and is currently a full-time elementary school counselor. Dr. McEvoy enjoys being near the ocean, spending time with family, and listening to all types of music.

Like many APUS students, Dr.McEvoy juggled work and family obligations while attending school and learned quickly to adopted the belief that, “nothing worthwhile ever comes easy”. However, she has been a student and now an instructor of the online community and can relate to both perspectives. She applauds the decision for individuals to invest in their future by making the choice to further their education. She looks forward to helping students achieve these goals.
