Carol Froisy received a Bachelor’s degree in English from Elmhurst College and a Master’s degree in English from National University. She is currently working on her capstone project for her second Master’s degree in Creative Writing.
Professor Froisy’s background includes newspaper writing, sports magazine writing, management, and nearly a decade as an international flight attendant. She has travelled the world including Japan, Germany, Italy, Guam, Russia, Norway, North and South Korea, Bosnia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Australia, Wake Island, Sicily, France, Turkey, United Kingdom, Singapore, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Egypt, Thailand, Viet Nam, Mexico, Canada, and all 50 states, yet she needs a GPS to find the grocery store.
When her brother went to boot camp at MCRD, she met her future husband (her brother’s drill instructor). Now a Master Gunnery Sergeant, her husband was awarded the Bronze Star with valor in 2005. Until their next duty station, they live with their youngest son in North Carolina. Their oldest son was drafted by the Astros in June, 2007.
Ms. Froisy was selected to the All-Star Flight Team for outstanding performance and superior service five consecutive years by her airline. In 2003, she was the recipient of the General’s Award for her dedication, commitment, and selflessness to the Marine Corps. She was born in Iowa where her family still lives.
