Christina Terenzi, RN, MN, CEN, received her RN Diploma from the Roosevelt Hospital School of Nursing in New York City and went on to obtain her BSN and MN from the University of Washington. She is currently certified in Emergency Nursing (CEN) and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau - the National Honor Society of Nursing.
Chris has more than 35 years experience in acute and primary care nursing - with an emphasis on Critical Care (Emergency and Intensive Care) Nursing and Infection Control. In her varied career, she has done everything from being a camp nurse to working in a prison infirmary. For seven years, she was the Emergency Department Clinical Educator at a Level II Trauma Center. Her responsibilities included needs assessment, analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation of staff orientation, curriculum development and other educational activities for clinical and ancillary ED staff. Chris is currently a Clinical Nurse Educator for four hospitals affiliated with MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, Washington and coordinator for their Simulation Center.
Chris is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) and an Instructor of a Course in Advanced Trauma Nursing (CATN. She has presented professionally at the West Region EMS Trauma Course, Pacific Lutheran University Critical Care Course, the Washington State Peri-operative Nurses Association Education Conference and the Emergency Nurses Association National Leadership Conference. She has published in the Journal of Emergency Nursing.
Chris, a New York native (born in Brooklyn) has lived in the beautiful Pacific Northwest (Gig Harbor, Washington) for more than 20 years. Her son is currently serving in the Air Force and she has four beautiful grandchildren. Her hobbies include running after her three dogs, attempting to grow a garden under very adverse conditions (3 dogs!), spoiling the grandchildren, perfecting her marinara sauce and planning her next visit to Italy.
