Biography - Richard Leiter

PhD Michigan State, MBA Wayne State, BS Penn State

Teaching experience: Over 25 years of both full time and part time collegiate teaching in the disciplines of economics, finance, marketing, and management; also served as the southern Regional Director in Atlanta for the U.S. Department of Education reporting to the Secretary of Education in Washington, D.C.

Corporate America: Industry experience with both Ford and Chrysler corporations in Detroit; most recently, Regional Vice President with Hometown America in Chicago, the nation’s largest private operator of retirement communities in the United States.

Military: Vietnam veteran 1st Lieutenant Platoon leader.

Family: My beautiful high school sweetheart is still my wife and my best friend; our three adult children are all college graduates in education, business and psychology.

Passions in life: teaching, not just in the collegiate classroom but also seminars, workshops, and facilitating small group Bible studies; running for fun, a 5K is my limit but did complete the Atlanta Peachtree 10K once and once was enough!
