Biography - John R Malpass


John Malpass received his BS degree from the United States Military Academy, his MBA from Pepperdine, and his PhD from USC, where he was awarded best dissertation in the Department of Educational Psychology in 1994.

Dr. Malpass develops and teaches online courses for American Public University. He retired from the Army (Infantry) in 1985. During his service, he was awarded the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, three Bronze Stars, two Purple Hearts, two Meritorious Service Medals, the Air Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, the Army Achievement Medal, and several other 'I was there' medals.

His hobbies include trying to play golf, making stained glass windows and lamps, and trying to stay fit by walking 15 miles a week.
