Maurene J Hinds

Maurene J. Hinds received a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Montana State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Vermont College. She is a full-time writer and educator. She is the author of nearly a dozen books and has also written educational study guides, textbook material, and numerous articles as a freelancer/ghostwriter.

Her published works include THE FERGUSON GUIDE TO RESUMES AND JOB HUNTING SKILLS, A READER'S GUIDE TO RICHARD WRIGHT'S BLACK BOY, and JOHN STEINBECK, BANNED, CHALLENGED, AND CENSORED. Additional nonfiction books range in topic from literary criticism to contemporary issues. Her fiction work is geared toward middle graders and young adults. She is represented by the Jennifer DeChiara Literary Agency and is a member of The Authors Guild and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
