Wendy  Lodge

Wendy Lodge earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Dominican University. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Bucknell University.

Mrs. Lodge was an elementary school teacher for over 25 years in Princeton, New Jersey where she worked primarily with at-risk students who demonstrated specific literacy weaknesses as an early intervention reading specialist and as a trained Reading Recovery teacher. She was also a classroom teacher for pre-kindergarten through third grade levels.

Mrs. Lodge has presented numerous professional development workshops for teachers and parents in the field of early literacy.

Mrs. Lodge served on the New Jersey Governor’s Task Force for Early Literacy Development as the state’s teacher representative. In that capacity, she helped develop the document used to satisfy President GW Bush’s No Child Left Behind guidelines placing Reading Coaches throughout the state in districts where student performance on standardized tests fell short of expectations.
