Biography - Carol M. Scott


It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as your instructor. This is an exciting time to learn about political issues. I am excited to have this opportunity to serve you this term. Please be sure to follow the current events in politics while taking this course. You will discover how sensible your studies are when you are able to connect lessons to current events. You will be able to grasp the objectives well as you apply what you learned in class to real life situations. Please allow me to introduce myself.

In 2000, I earned a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from Bowie State University. In 1998, I completed extensive graduate course work in International Relations from Howard University after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Howard University.

My professional career includes serving as the Department Chair for the Department of American Government. In addition, I have taught AP American Government for fourteen consecutive years.

In addition to being an educator, I have served as Curriculum Specialist, Standards Specialist, and Director of International Studies at the Academy of Business Senior High School. I presently reside in Odenton, Maryland with my two daughters.
