Biography - Christopher L Stevens


Christopher L. Stevens is a retired US Army strategic intelligence professional who served in both the conventional military and the special operations military communities. Since his retirement, he has worked for the Transportation Security Administration, the Federal Air Marshal Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Mr. Stevens is currently on a two-year detail to the National Security Agency. He previously worked as the Chief of Staff, Collection Division, Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Intelligence Integration, Office of of the Director of National Intelligence. He has also served served as the Chief, National Collection Coordination Group, National Intelligence Coordination Center, Office of the Director of National Intelligence. His past assignments include serving as the Acting DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis; Collections and Requirements Division Director and as its acting National Applications Office Director. He is a Center of Excellence in Government DHS Senior Fellow and he served approximately two years on the National Intelligence Collection Board. He has completed several baccalaureate and graduate-level degrees, which include an M.S. in Strategic Intelligence from the Defense Intelligence Agency's Joint Military Intelligence College. He has also completed graduate certificates in Strategic Leadership and Terrorism Studies.

He teaches as an American Military University assistant professor. He also teaches as an adjunct associate professor in the University of Maryland University College MS in Intelligence Management graduate degree program. He currently lives in Elkridge, Maryland.
