Post-baccalaureate Teacher Preparation Certification program which may lead to certification for those who wish to teach in a secondary school setting.

This program is designed for those who wish to teach in a secondary school setting. Students are required to have a bachelor's degree related to the field in which they wish to teach. More details about this program include:

• Accredited: AMU is a member institution of the American Public University System, which is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, North Central Association. The University System is also nationally accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council.  
  
  
• Convenient: All course content is delivered online typically in 16 weeks per course. Classroom observation and student teaching requirements are met at a school local to the student. AMU will assist you with student teaching placement and certification questions.
  

• Faculty: Our faculty combine academic excellence and research-based methods with real-life experience.

• Affordable Tuition: You’ll pay only $300 per credit hour for graduate courses.  Most AMU courses are 3 credit hour courses. There is no application or registration fee.

• Transfer Credit: AMU evaluates military training records for transfer credit.
