APUS 2009 Catalog - AOR

Maximum Course Load

APUS undergraduate students* may register for up to 15 credit hours within the same semester if they are in Academic Semester Format or 15 credit hours for courses in session during the same time if they are not. Completion of 12 (typically four 3-credit courses) per 16-week semester is considered full-time study at the undergraduate level.  Students who wish to complete more than 15 credit hours must obtain permission from the Registrar to carry a credit hour "overload."

*Please note: For first-time degree seeking undergraduates, these hours must include COLL100 unless the student has petitioned and received a waiver for COLL100.  This waiver must be requested and granted prior to registering for other courses. No refunds will be granted for students who request and receive a waiver after registering for COLL100.
