VA Benefits and GI Bill

Those who think they may qualify for VA Benefits must contact the VA office (toll-free at 888-442-4551 or online at http://www.gibill.va.gov/  to find out exactly which benefits they qualify for and to request the form(s) they will need.  After being accepted as a student, registering for course(s) and then paying for the courses or choosing a payment option, students using GI Bill benefits will need to get their Application for VA Education Benefits (Form 22-1990) from the VA website, complete it, and send it to the University System.  If a discharged veteran, they also will need to send a copy of their DD-214 to our administrative office.  Students who qualify for the Top-Up program through their GI Bill will need to get a 22-1990, have it signed by their Education Services Officer, and send it to the VA each semester with their completed and approved TA form. Additional questions about VA Benefits, the GI Bill, or the Top-Up program can be emailed to vaquestions@apus.edu.
