The student who graduates with a minor in Space Studies will be able to: Analyze the principles of manned and unmanned flight, both within and outside of the Earth’s atmosphere. Calculate and apply basic laws of planetary motion and gravitation, including two-body mechanics. Describe rocket fundamentals including propellants, combustion principles and general components. Describe the role(s) of key aerospace organizations in the United States. Evaluate the political and commercial significance of major national and international aerospace endeavors, including past, current and planned.
